History:
A non-profit organization, the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) aims to increase participation in, facilitate development of, and raise the standard of Asian tennis. ATF is closely affiliated with the International Tennis Association in implementing programs, and caters to all national tennis organizations in Asia.
ATF has 43 national member associations: Afghanistan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, China, People’s Republic of China Hongkong, Chinese Taipei, East Timor, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lao, Lebanon, Macau, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Palestine, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Syria, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Yemen.
Currently, ATF is busy coordinating with ITF and its member associations in organizing regional and international tennis events, implementing coaching certification courses, tennis officiating seminars, administrative workshops, junior development programs, traveling teams, and school promotional activities, and a number of other programs that are vital to the development and growth of tennis in the region.
