History:
England’s governing body for volleyball, the English Volleyball Federation administers the indoor game and beach volleyball, with development programs, coaching and referee courses, national squads and national competitions. The federation’s reach extends to 10 of England’s regions, many smaller area associations, and to over 700 clubs nationwide.
Competitions administered by the English Volleyball Federation on the national level include the Prosport National Volleyball League, considered as the main national volleyball competition; and the Premier League, which has been aiming to form a pinnacle of performance competition above the National Volleyball League since it was formed in 2002. The federation also holds junior competitions on the following categories: U15s for boys and girls, U16 boys, U16 girls, U18 men, U18 women, and inter-regionals for U15 and U17s from the regions covered by the federation.
